HookWise
Multi-track video editor

A multi-track video editor for finishing reels before you post them

Clips from AI Clipping open on the same timeline, so B-roll, music, text and color grading happen in one app.

What you can do on the timeline

1

Multicam synced by audio

Add recordings from several cameras and HookWise lines them up by sound. It can also switch to the camera of whoever is talking, which suits a two-camera podcast.

2

Keyframes and speed

Animate position, scale, rotation, opacity and volume. Speed curves, freeze frames and reverse are there too.

3

Consistent color

10 filter presets and LUT support, plus curves, HSL and scopes for manual grading. Blend modes, masks and chroma key as well.

4

Templates and Bulk clip

5 one-click reel templates, and Bulk clip for building many reels in one go.

Multi-track Video Editor

What the editor does for a finished reel

One timeline from clip to export

A reel from AI Clipping or Bulk clip opens on a multi-track timeline. The main video has its own track, with separate tracks for video/PiP, stickers, text, audio and effects. Keyframes animate position, scale, rotation, opacity and volume, and every change can be undone with Cmd or Ctrl+Z.

The 5 reel templates apply a full look in one click: Podcast / talking head, Fast & energetic, Tips & education, Cinematic and Clean minimal. Each one sets the caption style, colors, transitions between clips and the title or logo text. Templates run offline, and you can undo one if the look does not fit.

Tools for podcast and talking-head reels

Multicam lines up recordings from several cameras of the same take by matching their audio. Switch angles from the playhead with keys 1 to 9, or turn on Auto switch (speaker) to cut to whoever is talking. It compares how loud each camera's microphone is, so give each speaker a mic close to them.

For sound, Enhance Speech cleans up the voice, Reduce noise works on background noise, and Normalize brings loudness to -14 LUFS, the standard platform level. Music ducking lowers your music while someone talks, and beat sync can move clip cuts onto the beats of the track. Stabilize measures the shake in a clip and smooths it, zooming in as needed.

Limits worth knowing first

The editor works on every plan, and its tools run on your computer without a Gemini key. The AI extras inside it, such as voice-over and AI media, need Pro or Studio and your own key. Background removal without a green screen is macOS only. On Windows, use chroma key with green screen footage.

HookWise includes no music library, so bring tracks you hold a license for. Heavier steps such as reverse and background removal run as background jobs, and how long they take depends on your computer. HookWise lists no minimum RAM or GPU, so try your usual project during the 7-day trial.
